Human Performance and Rehabilitation Centers, Inc. (HPRC)

Company Overview

Human Performance and Rehabilitation Centers, Inc. (HPRC) is a privately and therapy owned company with a 60 year history of providing the highest quality in rehabilitation services in three states.

Company History

Human Performance and Rehabilitation Centers, Inc. (HPRC), is a privately owned rehabilitation company and is the successor to a small one-man physical therapy practice established in 1955 by George M. McCluskey Jr., PT, L.A.T.. He founded this company with one idea in mind: to rebuild and enhance the body’s functional capability – to improve life, one patient at a time. It was not the norm of the day to set up a private practice as he did. Nevertheless, he was convinced that ongoing, interactive communication between patient, physician and therapist was the better way; and that in the end, the patient would come out a winner.

That same philosophy still pervades his practice today; however, in today’s healthcare world, payors, case managers, and patients' family members must also be included to complete the circle of communication. Throughout the years, HPRC’s reputation as a premier rehabilitation provider has been recognized and has helped HPRC to evolve into one of the largest and most well-respected rehabilitation companies in the Southeast.

The philosophy of Human Performance and Rehabilitation Centers, Inc. (HPRC) is nearly the only thing that has not changed since 1955. While health care laws, terminology, numbers, environment, and other external things have and are constantly changing, the internal core or standard for which we stand has not.
